Description

Digital cam PS-701 is designed to count and compute a revolution signal from the rotary encoder installed in the rotating shaft of the press machine with the preset value entered by the digital switches, and perform almost the same operation as a mechanical rotary cam.
6 channels of output cams are used in PS-701. The rotating shaft angle converted from revolution signals are compared with the ON/OFF angle comparing values that you input in digital switches. When the rotating shaft angle equals to the ON angle comparing value, the cam output is activated. When exceeding the OFF angle comparing value, the cam output is deactivated.
PS-701 has various functions such as timer ejector to control ON timing of the cam output, the motion detector to monitor revolution signals of the rotary encoder.

Features


 Higher precision and finer control are achieved than a conventional mechanical rotary cam. The control signal output (cam output) in PS-701 is almost the same as the conventional cam.
 Accumulated angle errors are eliminated because PS-701 checks the zero degree level for each rotation with zero phase signal of the rotary encoder.
 The motion detector function stops the press machine when the encoder is damaged or the rotary mechanism is out of order.
 Due to the hysteresis function, the rotary cam output will not flutter even when backlash is found in the encoder rotation input.
 When the press continuously gives one or more revolutions, the indicator changes the display from the angle to the SPM automatically.
 The non-contact and mechanical contact output can be incorporated optionally within this main unit, which downsizes the system.
